Are you people doing the work that you suppose to do. this thing happened in Velacherry blue cross
dog catchers catching dog in and around chennai and sterlising it...and blue cross people releasing dogs in busy heavy traffic main road like velachery main road near check post bus stop. today i saw a sterlised dog ran over by a bus alive. that was most horrible cruel thing i ever seen. these ignorant dog catching idiots all want is money they are not responsible enough to release those dogs in residential area. poor dog died painful death. even that bus driver driving bus very slow atleast he should have stopped the bus or honked...he too knows there dog was standing, delibrately killed the dog, ask them not to release those dogs in traffic places and make them release in residential slum area.

I cursed all people involved those people [including your children] involved in this accident. including blue cross people of velacherry chennai. you too will suffer painful death like that dog. My stomach is burning....nasama poiduvinga.

whats the point in donating you people. i am realy sad.

Dear Fybercyber,
I can understand your feelings completely as I too have been in the same situations and have felt helpless and frustated!
PETA INDIA is doing absolutely NOTHING these days; there are many local animal related issues which get published in leading newspapers but PETA INDIA does'nt even lift a finger!

So i suggest you write in to PETA USA, via email; describing the matter of your concern. Also write in to Blue Cross or call them and talk to some respectable person in-charge. Tell them about the BULLSHIT that they'r upto and also as to, for how long do they want to continue this way! Try to write in to any local newspaper.

Also if you had been a little more aware, u should have noted the bus number(Route NO.) and name plate ID and reported it to the local police station and you know wht, the bus driver would have been arrested under charges of Animal Cruelty.

Hey Vibhor!!!That is a new information for me!!I didnt know that people could be arrested like that!!But i dont think people in Kerala(especially the police) would care about this...They would just laugh at it...in such cases what should i do???

Dear Shreya,
If u witness animal cruelty of any kind and feel it to be completely unacceptable, then u may contact the nearest Police Station. U may inform the call receiver that, such and such activity is taking place at this address. Tell them to take action under the PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS ACT, 1960. If they ask u to give a complaint in writing, don't hesitate; go ahead and do so(only if the animal/s is being brutally tortured/killed/beaten regularly). If the cruelty is not as severe, but is nontheless taking place; tell the police constable to take action by visiting the place, and preventing the cruelty to take place again. Also, from ur side provide the name and address of some respectable/trustable animal welfare NGO, so that if the animal has to be rescued by the Police, then they know where to take it.

Cruelty to animals may result in/lead to "fines or a jail term or both", depending from case to case.

Also, ur absolutely right that the Police may "laugh" on such a matter. In such a case, keep informing them that the LAW provides sanctions for and against the welfare of animals(UNDER THE PCA,1960) and it is the DUTY of the POLICE to take relevant action; since that is what they are there for!

Also, always be respecting and goody-goody; don't show them 'attitude', cuz then, even the slightest chance of betterment in the life of that animal, will be gone!
