Indian Ocean CD Giveaway
What do you get when you combine indo-rock fusion with animal rights? In Indian Ocean's case, the answer is a CD giveaway! When we met up with vocalist Rahul Ram and percussionist Amit Kilam at the BITS Pilani college festival, they weren't afraid to let their voices be heard. "Ethically, animals are to be treated with a certain amount of respect", said Rahul. "[O]ne should do that with kindness and feelings of empathy rather than treating them like things which have no pain [or] which feel no emotion."
Amit continued where Rahul left off, saying, "I am absolutely against cruelty to animals. ... One of the ways of being in harmony with animals is to show respect to them. They also have life, and we need to care for them".
