As mentioned on their Web site, Swami won the “Breaking Musical Boundaries” award in the UK’s Bobby and Nihal’s BBC Radio 1 poll and was also number six on the BBC Asian Network’s “Top 100 of 2005” (on the Adil Ray show) for their live recording of “DesiRock”. They definitely “DesiRock”, all right!

We caught up with DJ Swami (whose real name is Diamond Duggal) and learned that he is not only a very passionate musician, but also very passionate about animals and vegetarianism.
