Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor Slams Killing of Cats and Dogs for Fur
After the release of With Teeth, an album that has been called one of last year’s best by every music reviewer with an opinion, Nine Inch Nails’ 2005 tour sold out in 10 minutes flat. The first single, “The Hand That Feeds”, is too awesome for words, and NIN frontman Trent Reznor has once again proved his standing as the most popular industrial musician of our time. Despite his busy schedule, Trent took time out to narrate PETA’s latest undercover fur video – an exposé that looks into the lives of cats and dogs in China’s barbaric fur trade.
Every year in China, millions of cats and dogs are killed for their fur – mostly to make cuffs, collars and other pieces of trim. The fur is often mislabelled as fur from other species and sold illegally throughout the world. What drives the cat and dog fur industry? The demand for items made from the body parts of animals. If you want to make sure that cats and dogs (or any animals, for that matter) are no longer killed for “fashion”, then do not buy animal products – period.
“If you buy or wear fur, you must share the blame for the suffering of these cats and dogs”, says Trent in the video. “If you know someone who wears fur, please, show them this video.”Use this form to forward Trent’s PSA to your friends. It is really worth it!
